SEND at
The Coastal Together Federation

Children with SEND have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age. These children may need extra or different help from that given to others. We know that the most important people in any child's life are their parents. You know your children best of all. What you as parents think, feel and say is important to us. We will listen to you and feel it is important that you are fully involved in decisions that affect your children in school. If your child has SEND, they will be able to access help - called SEND support.

We will use our best endeavours to make sure that a child with SEND gets the support they need - this means doing everything we can to meet children's SEND. We ensure that children with SEND engage in the activities of the school alongside pupils who do not have SEND. Our SENDCo works along side class teachers and Heads of School to ensure needs are being met and children access the full curriculum.

For all queries relating to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, please contact your child's class teacher in the first instance. They will be able to discuss how they will support your child within class and through targeted interventions. Information about how we support children with special educational needs can be found in our School Information Report.

If you have any further questions please make an appointment to speak with Mrs Maunder via the school office or email r.maunder@coastaltogether.co.uk
